Kenneth I. D. Double

Kenneth was born in Cambridgeshire in 1928. He left Coston School in 1960 to become Deputy Head of North Ealing Primary School. In 1966 he was appointed Headmaster of Brentside Primary School in Hanwell where he stayed until taking early retirement in 1985.

From the 1950's to 1980's he was an active member of the Conservative Party. He was a councillor for the London Borough of Hillingdon and held  prominent positions in local government, particularly in Education. He was a great admirer of Enoch Powell and Margaret Thatcher.

He was actively involved in sport all his life and was an official schools football referee. He was an enthusiatic supporter of Queens Park Rangers football club and the Middlessex County Cricket team.


He was married twice and had two children (Simon and Sally-Ann) by his first wife and one daughter (Rachel) by his first second wife - Elizabeth.
He died suddenly in November 2000.
